Please use this form to submit an Expression of Interest in grant funding for large-scale capital projects that may be eligible for external funding (if available.)

Before you start

  • Please refer to the guidance pages which will assist you in completing your EOI -  Guidance on completing your application form
  • You can submit 1 document (up to 3 pages long) of supporting information so please have this ready before filling out the form.
  • Your EOI must be submitted by Monday 30 March 2026 at 10:00am.

Section 1 - Gateway criteria

The following questions must be completed. If you answer ‘No’ to one or more of these questions, your project will not be explored further by Argyll and Bute Council at this stage as these are necessary requirements to confirm project eligibility.

1. Are you a public sector or community organisation?
2. Is your project seeking capital funding?
3. Is your project primarily aimed at providing new or enhancing/upgrading existing infrastructure that offers additionality?
4. Is your project deliverable (i.e. construction started) in either 2026/27 or 2027/8 financial year?
5. Does your project demonstrate community need?
6. Does your project meet at least one of the outcomes in the Argyll and Bute Local Outcomes Improvement Plan 2024-34?

7. Does your project meet at least one of the four pillars in the Argyll and Bute Economic Strategy?

8. Have you considered the long-term viability of your project and have plans to maintain the asset beyond project completion?
9. Can you confirm your organisation does not have any outstanding debts to the council?

As you have answered No to one or more of the gateway criteria questions, you will not be eligible to proceed with your Expression of Interest application.
