Have you considered becoming a registered childminder?

Registered childminders are a valued asset for families living and working in Argyll and Bute. Argyll and Bute Council is running a campaign to recruit new childminders, particularly for children aged 0 to 3 years in rural areas.  Financial assistance is available for equipment such as pushchairs and stairgates, as well as small home adaptations.

We want all our children to have the best possible start in life. Childminders can become a valuable extension to each family, providing nurturing and learning in a safe environment.

Registration Process

Registration and inspection of childminders is carried out by the Care Inspectorate.  If you are considering becoming a childminder further information on registration can be found here and in their guide: registering and running a childminding service.
