Achahoish Primary is a small non-denominational school situated about eleven miles from Lochgilphead on the Kilberry road. The area around the school is rural upland located within Knapdale National Scenic Area.

Achahoish Primary is a small non-denominational school. Within the school there is a warm welcoming ethos based on a sound partnership between staff, parents and pupils. The local community is very supportive of the school.

The school is situated about eleven miles from Lochgilphead on the Kilberry road. The area around the school is rural upland located within Knapdale National Scenic Area. Employment opportunities for local people are in farming, forestry, horticulture, fish farming and tourism. Most of the parents of the children in the school are employed, in some capacity, by Ormsary Estate.
