How long have you worked for Argyll and Bute Council? 
15 and a half years 

How did you get into your job/career area?
I completed a degree in Food Science and Nutrition, and following a number of jobs in the food manufacturing industry, I decided to make the move to focusing on the nutrition side and applied for a job with Argyll and Bute as a Food and Nutrition Officer. I also have a background in hospitality, so it fits in really well with the service we provide. 

What does your job involve?
I manage the catering, cleaning events and food strategy team. The largest part of our service is school catering, but we also have some commercial cafes, and our service manages the cleaning in schools and offices throughout Argyll and Bute.   

Favourite thing about your job?
 It’s something different every single day. You get to meet so many people and everyone is so passionate about the job they do. We are really proud of the service we provide….our teams are the unsung heroes in my eyes! 

Best thing about working in Argyll and Bute?
It’s just amazing, the scenery, the challenges, the people. It’s a fantastic place to live and work.
