Campbeltown Heritage Trail Group Background

The Campbeltown Heritage Trail Group, made up of volunteers, was formed in 2010 as part of the Campbeltown THI (Townscape Heritage Initiative) and aims to provide people with an interesting insight into the area’s historic past, ensuring our heritage is not lost.

The Campbeltown Heritage Trail Group, made up of volunteers, was formed in 2010 as part of the Campbeltown THI (Townscape Heritage Initiative) and aims to provide people with an interesting insight into the area’s historic past, ensuring our heritage is not lost. The group provides free walking tours during the summer months, visiting several of the most important sites within the town centre.

Administration costs were originally funded via the Campbeltown THI Training Programme by Argyll and the Islands LEADER, the Heritage Lottery Fund,  and Argyll and Bute Council.
