Residents of Argyll and Bute are being encouraged to find out if they are eligible for financial help from The Argyll and Bute Flexible Food Fund (ABFFF).
The fund tackles financial insecurity and offers support and confidential professional help to anyone suffering hardship.
Argyll and Bute Council is working in partnership with the Community Food Forum, Bute Advice Centre, local foodbanks and ALIenergy, to deliver the fund and help households with low incomes and no access to cash savings to apply for immediate financial support to help with daily living expenses.
Leader of Argyll and Bute Council, Councillor Robin Currie, said: “Many people are struggling to make ends meet due to the rising cost of living, so it is really important that they are aware what financial assistance is out there.
“The Argyll and Bute Flexible Food Fund has already helped 1,470 families to access an average of £1,435 per household, so I would strongly urge people to find out if they’re eligible and apply today if they are struggling for money to cover food and fuel cost. Even if you are in employment, you may still be eligible.”
