Did you know that the council has a department dedicated to providing support and advice to community groups?
Kirsty Moyes works as a Community Development Officer with the council, helping community groups to access funding, increase volunteer numbers, improve their skills and knowledge, become more sustainable, create community action plans, increase in confidence… the list goes on!
Kirsty said: “No two days are the same. I’m part of a great team who work well together to ensure that we provide the best services possible to community groups in the area.
“I have met so many wonderful people during my time in community development, and it’s great to see their ideas come to life knowing that we have helped play a part in it.”
