What is the Place Standard Tool?
The Place Standard is a simple tool to consider the qualities of a place. It helps people to think about both the physical and social aspects of places, and the important relationship between them.

The engagement period will close on 13th April 2026.
Please note: Please don't include any personal information (e.g. name, full address, email address, personal circumstances) in any of your answers to the Place Standard Tool itself. We will ask some optional questions about yourself at the end of the survey.
We are asking for response for settlements across the whole of Argyll and Bute except those within the National Park area, this is because Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority is responsible for the Local Development Plan in the National Park. You can find a map showing the parts of Argyll and Bute in the National Park here.
