Contributing to the Oban Common Good Fund

If the town of Oban and the people who live there have been good to you or to your company, you may wish to consider making a donation to the Oban Common Good Fund as a way of saying "thank you" and of making a difference to the life of the town, Whether you would like to make a Gift Aid donation as an individual or as a company, the Oban Common Good Fund will ensure that your money is spent to the good of the local community. 

Individuals who wish to make a donation may also be able to enjoy additional tax relief on the gift in the tax year it is made. 

The Oban Common Good Fund is included on the list of registered Scottish charities.

Gift Aid donations by individuals allow the charity to reclaim 28p for every £1 donated, provided the donor pays an equivalent amount of tax equal to that reclaimable by the Charity, Should you wish to make a Gift Aid donation please let us know. 

Higher rate taxpayers can obtain additional relief which may allow them to increase their donation at no additional cost to themselves. Further information can be obtained at the address shown below.

Companies may also be able to obtain Corporation Tax relief and deduct donations from their taxable profits.
