Name

The Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre was formerly the Clyde Street School. It was built in 1903 by Helensburgh Architect and Artist Alexander Nisbet Paterson, in a Scottish Revival Style with 17th Century Renaissance details. The old school building was joined with a state of the art office facility in 2015, seamlessly blending the old with the new into a beautiful landmark on the banks of the River Clyde.

The original details in the old school remain intact – features such as the old separate girls and boys entrances, as well as the beautiful ceiling offer a link to Helensburgh’s history, whilst the new glass proportion of the building offers tranquil views across the Clyde.

There are various spaces that can be hired within the facility, so whether you’re looking to hire a meeting room or host a ceilidh, get in touch as we have a space for you.
