Apologies for absence were received from Councillor John Armour.

DEPUTATION

 

The Chair intimated that a request for a deputation by Oban Community Harbour Development Association to be heard by the Harbour Board had been received. It was unanimously agreed to hear this deputation prior to item 3 of the Agenda.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Minutes:

There were no declarations of interest intimated.

The Harbour Board heard a deputation on behalf of Oban Community Harbour Development Association who spoke in relation to the establishment of a municipal port which is dealt with at Item 4 of these Minutes.

Minutes:

The Harbour Board gave consideration to a report proposing to progress a business case, for future consideration by the Harbour Board, for the extension of North Pier as a commercial development opportunity providing much needed additional berthing.

 

Decision

 

The Argyll and Bute Harbour Board agreed to a business case being progressed to determine the viability of an extension to the North Pier, Oban.

Minutes:

The Harbour Board gave consideration to a report providing an update on the progress made since the decision of the Special Harbour Board meeting in December 2021 and the previous update to the Harbour Board in March 2022 in respect of Oban Bay.

 

Decision

 

The Argyll and Bute Harbour Board noted the update provided in the submitted report.

At the conclusion of meeting the Chair thanked OCHDA representatives for their deputation and confirmed that he was looking forward to working with all stakeholders to further develop the project.
