There were no apologies for absence intimated.

The minute of Oban Lorn & the Isles Local Area Community Planning Group meeting held on 13^th January 2010 was approved as a correct record.

The Group discussed representation from third sector on the Community Planning Group.  It was agreed that there should be 2 representatives from the third sector on the committee.

Ken Macdonald provided the group with an overview of the draft area plan for Oban Lorn & the Isles.  At present there are four outcomes covering the principal areas of interest.

The completed draft plan to be circulated to the community event for workshop discussions.

Due to time constraints it was agreed that Ken would:

(a)   put forward the draft plan with a holding report.

(b)   Meet with individual partners to take the plan forward

David Price to summarise results of the community council questionnaires

It was reported that 57 people attended the FOLI Conference on 15^th January 2010 split into four groups to look at local priorities. 

The steering group was dissolved and a new group set up, with Dr McNicol from Appin appointed as Chairperson.  The next meeting will be held on 11^th March 2010.

Scottish Rural Network have arranged an event for 30^th March 2010 from 10.30am to 3.30pm in the Corran Halls, Oban.  Leader groups will have stalls with agriculture high on the agenda and they are trying to add local issues.

The next meeting of the CPP will be held on 30^th June 2010, with David Price representing the Local Community Planning Group.

The next meeting will be held on 12^th May 2010.
