OLDER PEOPLES CARE AT HOME SERVICE UPDATE PDF 80 KB Report by Head of Adult Care Minutes: A report updating the Committee on the findings of the 1st
quarterly evaluation of the Care at Home provision within the Bute and Cowal area, following the externalisation of services on 21st
January 2013, was considered. The report has been broken down to show the progress and
joint working that has been put into place to ensure that a high quality
service is provided, as it is recognised that the service is provided to
vulnerable individuals, predominately by lone workers, in the home environment. Decision The Committee agreed to bring a quarterly report back to the
Area Committee updating Members with more detail around contracts, off contract
activity, and monitoring activity including the costs of the procurement team
and monitoring arrangements and travel time, and further agreed that in the
event of any major issues arising in relation to service delivery this will be
reported to the Area Committee as a matter of urgency. (Reference: Report by Head of Adult Care dated 24th September 2013, submitted). |

UPDATE ON CARE INSPECTORATE REPORT FOR ASSIST PDF 110 KB Report by Area Manager – Adult Care Additional documents: Minutes: A report updating the Committee on the progress of ASIST LD
Day Service, Dunoon since the Care Inspectorate last
May and also that of the more recent inspection of Phoenix LD Day Service, Rothesay in January 2013, was considered. Decision The Committee noted the continued progress being made in
implementing the agreed improvement plans for Learning Disability day services

PERFORMANCE RELATING TO THE SERVICE OVERALL PDF 76 KB Report by Head of Adult Care Additional documents: Minutes: A report detailing the framework of performance relating to Adult Care overall was considered. Decision The Committee:- i. Noted the information provided; ii. Agreed to bring quarterly reports to the Area Committee on Older Peoples Care at Home Service Update, Update on Learning Disability Day Services and Performance relating to the Service overall; and iii. Agreed that in the event of any major issues arising in relation to service delivery on these items this will be reported to the Area Committee as a matter of urgency. terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to
exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it

ROTHESAY HARBOUR Report by Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure Minutes: A report providing the Harbour Authority with the Business
Case as directed by the Board on 25th June 2013, and being a
supplementary report to the papers “Rothesay Harbour
– Marine Safety Provision” dated 4th and 25th June 2013,
was considered. The report summarises the Business Case and options
appraisal process. The outcome of this
process is that Option 1 and Option 2 have scored on equivalent terms. Decision The Committee agreed recommendations 2.1 ( Option 2), 2.2,
and 2.3 of the report submitted by the Executive Director of Development and
Infrastructure Services and further agreed that the proposed draft byelaws be
informally consulted on prior to consideration by the Area Committee at their
