This 2 day Update Course is specifically designed for registered social workers. It builds on the Child Protection (5 days) Course undertaken by most social workers employed across the West of Scotland. The original course aimed to help social workers to take up their role for investigating and assessing significant harm to children within the Local Authority that employed them.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This update course should be undertaken by any registered social worker who completed the 5 days Investigation and Assessment in Child Protection Course more than 2 years ago. This includes social workers in children & families, youth services, adult services, criminal justice services, mental health services, addictions services, services for people with a disability or any other relevant service.
