Over the last few years, the prevalence of child sexual exploitation (CSE) has been brought to national attention. With children and young people’s digital footprint on the rise as a result of Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions, we have seen increased vulnerability and the danger of online sexual abuse has been exacerbated. As a result, tackling child sexual exploitation must be placed at the top of the agenda for all organisations involved in safeguarding children and young people in Argyll & Bute.
This online conference will bring together practitioners from across all agencies in Argyll & Bute to consider the challenges faced in tackling child sexual exploitation including online safety and contextual safeguarding. There will also be an opportunity to network with other colleagues to consider the local picture and how we work together to protect children and young people affected by these issues.
