UK Parliamentary Election 12th December 2019

Voters were asked to elect one Member of Parliament (MP) to represent the Argyll and Bute UK Parliamentary Constituency at Westminster.

Accordingly, the Returning Officer for Argyll and Bute has published the Notice of Election today, Friday 8th November 2019, as required by legislation.

To take part in this election, you must be registered to vote. If you are not sure whether you are registered, you can check with the Electoral Registration Office on 0800 980 0470. They can send you out a registration form if you need one. You can also register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote - it is quick and easy to do.

The deadline for registering to vote in the UK Parliamentary Election was 26th November 2019.

You can also vote by post or by proxy (where you appoint someone to cast your vote on your behalf). The deadline for postal vote applications was 5pm on 26th November and to apply for a proxy vote the deadline was 5pm on 4th December. Please note that for this election there are some changes to polling stations, so please check your polling card or online so that you know where you need to go to cast your vote.

UK Parliamentary Elections, 12th December 2019 – changes to polling stations

For the forthcoming UK Parliamentary Election on 12th December 2019, it has been necessary to make a small number of changes to polling stations. While this is avoided if at all possible the timescales and other factors mean that some changes have been essential. Please see below for details.  To avoid any doubt about where you are due to vote, always check your polling card or check online here.

Bridge of Orchy

The polling station for this election will be Bridge of Orchy Hall.

Tayvallich

Tayvallich Church will be the polling station for this election.

 

Bunessan, Isle of Mull

Bunessan Primary School’s Pre-Five Unit will be the polling station for this election.

 

Luss

The polling station for this election will be the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel

 

Helensburgh

Drumfork Centre will replace the Naval Families Centre as the polling station for relevant voters in this election. 

Dance Studio at Hermitage Academy will replace Colgrain Primary School as the polling station for appropriate voters for this election.
