Argyll and Bute Council and sportscotland celebrate and reward the success and achievements of our sports coaches, volunteers and athletes. 

 

 

 

Awards Categories

Youth Coach 

This award will be made to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to the introduction and/or development of sport for young people under the age of 18.

Active Schools Volunteer

This award will be made to a volunteer in recognition to their contribution to the Active Schools Programme. It is open to all volunteers who have demonstrated their enthusiasm and commitment over the past year.

Community Coach

This award will be made to a coach who has supported the development and/or performance of athletes or teams and who has significantly increased or improved the sporting opportunities available.

Club of the Year

The Club of the Year Award is presented to a sports club that has made a significant impact on or contribution to the development of sport in the community.

Service to Sport

This award will be made to a volunteer in recognition of their outstanding contribution to sport in Argyll and Bute over a long period of time. This award looks for someone who has shown considerable commitment to sport and can demonstrate the impact they have made to individuals and the wider community.

Sporting Achievement of the Year

Awarded to an individual or team who has achieved considerable success in their chosen sport within a competitive setting.

For the first time you’ll be able to watch the winners being announced online.   Awards will be announced at 2pm on Friday 9th September at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/sportsawards.  All winners in each category will be presented with their award in their own club/coaching environment.
