There is currently a large crack in the B8001 Skipness to Claonaig road. The road remains open and we are progressing a temporary repair which will involve filling in the crack while we design a suitable long term solution.
The permanent solution is likely to involve tying the road together with specialist steelwork which have a reasonably long lead-in time, meaning the work is unlikely to be progressed before late summer/autumn.

Serveral sections within the Street Lighting system in Nant Drive Oban are dark, due to loss of power supply. The lights in adjoining streets are also affected as they form part of one large system. Where practicable , temporary repairs have allowed some lighting to be restored. Applications are with the Power Supplier to provide alternatve power supply connections at locations to allow separate sections to be re-connected. This involves excavating and connecting to buried cables and providing additional supply pillars.
Temporary works will be progressed as far as parcticable in June. Bids for Capital funding, for a full system upgrade wil be progressed for future programming.
