Due to ongoing operational issues there will be delays to the collection of blue bins on the Isle of Bute this week. The collections that will be affected are below, please leave your bin at its collection point for crews to attend Tuesday

Domestic General & Recycling Uplift - Helensburgh |

Due to an issue with the Awkward access vehicle, we were unable to uplift from Areas within Helensburgh on the 9th and 10th March. Next collection will take place 23rd & 24th March 2023. We apologise for the issues regarding the uplift and thank you for your continued patience. Any excess waste will be uplifted if it's bagged and left beside the bin on the next collection date.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Smiddy Lane Lochgilphead |

There will be no access from Colchester Square to Smiddy Lane (up to Icon Hairdressers) from 28th August 2022 to 30th June 2023, or until works are completed, whichever is earliest. The rest of Smiddy Lane will be accessible through the entrance on Lorne Street. Alternative routes will be signed appropriately |
Ardrishaig Bus Stop Closure |

As part of the ongoing works at Ardrishaig the bus stop is closed, a temporary bus stop is located approximately 100m south of the original bus stop adjacent to the southern car park. |
Ardrishaig North car park closed from 29th August |

Due to the Ardrishaig Public Realm regeneration works, the north car park in Ardrishaig will be closed from 29th August 2022 to April 2023. The south car park should remain available and unaffected during the works. Access to the public toilet and North Hall will also remain during the period of works and pedestrians should follow any safety signage in these locations. The Argyll Kayak Trail launch point will be closed but alternative access to the shore can be found south of Ardrishaig Harbour. Further information can be found at Ardrishaig Public Realm |

The B8001 Skipness to Claonaig is open. The road had previously suffered some damage which has been temporarily repaired. The road will ultimately need to be realigned – survey and design work is currently ongoing. |

** Due to the volume of traffic at this location this work has been scheduled for January to minimise disruption as much as possible After further innvestigation the streetlighting on Lynn road requires a new supply connection. Dark lamps in Oban will be attended to as part of the ongoing LED replacement scheme Please do not report dark lamps until the LED scheme has completed.
The scheme is scheduled to complete in 3 weeks and we will update our page when this has finished. Dark areas such as afull street will still be attended to |
Gartbreck landfill site |

On Wednesday 29th March there will be a power outage at Gartbreck landfill site on Islay. The site will remain open however our weigh bridge facility will not be in use. This means that any commercial waste customer visiting the site will be charged the maximun carrying capacity of the vehicle used to take the waste to site We advise that all commercail waste customer hold on to their waste until power has bee restored |
