Public holiday arrangements

Public holiday  - Monday 26th September 2022

We will be closed from 5pm on Friday 23rd September to 9am on Tuesday 27th September 2022.

Our Customer Service Points will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday 27th September.

While we are closed, you can use the emergency contact numbers to access emergency services such as social work or dangerous buildings, or to report roads or street lighting faults.

The council’s website can be used as normal for reporting issues, making payments and sending enquiries. However, no action may be taken on some matters like the validation of planning applications and the processing of applications or enquiries, until we fully reopen on Tuesday 27th September.

Bin collections and recycling centres

There will be no changes to scheduled bin collections or recycling centre opening hours on Monday 26th September.

For all areas of Argyll and Bute, no scheduled bin collections took place on Monday 19th September.

If you had a scheduled collection on Monday 19th September, our crews are working hard to catch up over the course of the week and into the weekend. Please leave your bin out until it is collected.

Crews will work as normal on the bank holiday Monday 26th September.

If your scheduled collection from Monday 19th September hasn’t happened by Tuesday 27th September then please call us on 01546 605514 or report a missed bin here

Food waste collections in Helensburgh and Lomond for Monday 19th September were cancelled, on the basis that this is a weekly service – these customers will receive a collection on their next scheduled collection day, Monday 26th September.

Registration of deaths

While our offices are closed, you can request an appointment with the registrar through our website

Local Undertakers may assist arranging appointments out with these times.
