Why this is a good design

This project has delivered an unashamedly bold building with a simple form and excellent energy efficiency.  The provision of super insulated walls, recycled materials for the wall finish, and an air source heat pump ensures that the building has low running costs.  The use of a dark external colour gives a recessive quality to the building when viewed against the existing woodland backdrop, which helps to reduce the impacts of this large building.
