Community Energy Scotland is an independent Scottish charity, working to raise the profile of renewable energy and the opportunities it presents for communities.
Community Energy Scotland provide education, free advice, practical help, finance and grant funding to help communities, voluntary groups and charities throughout Scotland to own and operate renewable energy installations. In doing so they aim to benefit communities by becoming stronger, more self reliant and resilient by generating their own energy and using it efficiently.

CES no longer deliver The Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) on behalf of the government. They however, are working with communities who have accessed the CARES Infrastructure and Innovation fund which has assisted them to review and explore options for innovative energy management and overcome grid constraints.
