Argyll and Bute Council is inviting residents and businesses in Campbeltown to take part in a public consultation and drop-in event to give their views on what final additions they would like to see in the town’s newly refurbished Burnside Square.

Creating employment, supporting the town centre and providing community leisure opportunities have been core to the redevelopment of Helensburgh’s waterfront.

Following a public consultation in 2023, a proposed travel route linking Rosneath with the Castle Caravan Park is progressing to the second design stage. Children in Argyll and Bute who were born between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022, can be registered for a funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) place the week beginning Monday 22 January 2024.

Community and voluntary groups can now apply to a new fund to help create new facilities or improve open spaces in their local area.

Children who turn five between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 can be registered for primary school during the week beginning Monday 15 January 2024.
