To help support local businesses and encourage local spending, all council off-street pay and display parking will be free across Argyll and Bute in the run up to Christmas from 9 – 24 December.

The move is part of ongoing measures to support business recovery from the impact of the pandemic. They include the roll out of the Argyll and Bute gift card, available to spend in 250 independent businesses across the area.

“Our local independent businesses play a key role in supporting the local economy. Many of them are still dealing with the impact of the pandemic. By providing free parking, we hope residents will continue to support local shops and keep spending local.”
