Members of the public have a chance to own a unique piece of Oban civic history, before surplus furniture from the Municipal Buildings in Albany Street is put under the hammer.
Various items of furniture, including tables and chairs with prices from £10 upwards, are being made available to buy. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Oban Common Good Fund.
The furniture will be available to view and purchase at the Corran Halls on 27 June, from 10am until 2pm. Buyers can make the appropriate payment to the Corran Halls, with each item being sold as seen and the purchaser responsible for taking away the pieces of furniture.
Any unsold furniture will then be sold at public auction.
Councillor Elaine Robertson, chair of the Oban, Lorn and the Isles Area Committee, said: "The sale is an ideal opportunity for residents to own their own small piece of Oban heritage with proceeds being put to good use."
