The Chief Executive of Argyll and Bute Council has expressed his heartfelt sympathy for the families of the two fishermen who were on board the Tarbert fishing boat, the Nancy Glen, when it capsized on 18 January.

Cleland Sneddon said: “This is an extremely tragic situation. The two fishermen, Duncan MacDougall and Przemek Krawczyk, were both men who will be much missed and both leave behind wives and families.

“The Clyde Fisherman’s Trust have launched an appeal to fund the very significant costs associated with the retrieval of the boat and are trying to raise enough money to allow the families to recover their loved ones. I attach below the link to the Just Giving page to allow others who would wish to donate to contribute to reaching that goal.”
