Boost your business, boost Argyll - World Host training

Becoming a world host destination promotes your area as a place where customer care is a top priority and everyone gets the warmest welcome.

As part of our work to support our tourism industry, the council is working with AITC (Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative) and People First to make Argyll and Bute a world host destination by 2019.

World Host is an international customer care accreditation programme.  To achieve destination accreditation 200 businesses need to train more than 50% of their front of house staff.  So far over 170 local businesses have taken part and many of these are now displaying their World Host accredited business certificates at their premises and on their websites.  Each member of staff also has their own certificate

 

To help support more local businesses and the local tourism economy, we are providing free customer care training, through our Business Gateway Team:
