Argyll and Bute Council is reminding people that funding is available to insulate your home.
The council has been awarded a grant of £1,669,978 to help residents make energy efficiency improvements to their properties such as external/internal wall insulation, underfloor insulation, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
This is part of the Scottish Government’s Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland: Area Based Scheme (HEEPS: ABS).
The programme is available to owner occupiers and private rented householders living in council tax bands A to C, and band D if your income is less than £20,000.
The Council’s Policy Lead for Housing, Councillor Robin Currie said: “This is a great opportunity for people to make their home warmer whilst saving on energy costs. I would urge residents to make the most of this funding and sign up while they can.”
To register your interest for the scheme, or for any home energy efficiency enquiries, please contact Home Energy Scotland on 0808 808 2282.
