Argyll and Bute Council has commissioned its maintenance contractor Stannah Lift Service Ltd to carry out improvements to the lifts at Rothesay Pier. These works will get underway on Monday 13th February and are scheduled to take three days. The improvements are significant and will see new internal ram seals installed, as well as replacement electrical junction boxes. The council is committed to ensuring full accessibility to the Rothesay-Wemyss Bay ferry, which is why we are ensuring the effective operation of both lifts. During the period of the works the passenger access gangway may have to close occasionally, with ferry access being maintained via the linkspan. We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation over the period of these vital works.
