The deadline is fast approaching for community groups and third sector organisations to apply to Argyll and Bute Council’s Supporting Communities Fund.
A website has been created specifically for the fund: www.abpb.co.uk where groups can post their ideas of how they could use potential funding of up to £2,500 to benefit the local community.
The deadline for ideas to be posted to the site is 22nd December, after which groups who have applied will have until 22nd January 2018 to complete and return a grant application form providing more detail on their idea, including costs involved.
Members of the public will then have the opportunity to vote for which ideas they like the best when voting opens in April.
The Council’s Policy Lead for Communities, Councillor Robin Currie said: “The deadline for ideas to be posted to the Supporting Communities Fund website is only a few days away so I would urge those who have an idea, and who haven’t applied, to do so now.
“This is a great chance for people to stand up and make a difference to their local area. Don’t lose out on this brilliant opportunity.”
