There’s one week to go to register to vote in the council elections.

On Thursday 04 May voters in Argyll and Bute will go to the polls to decide who will be elected as councillors for Argyll and Bute Council.

The deadline to register to vote is Monday 17 April. Anyone not registered to vote at their current address can register online at www.gov.uk/registertovote

Argyll and Bute Council has 36 councillors who serve in 11 different wards across the area. Voting for councillors in 10 wards will take place on 4 May 2017. Voting in ward 1, South Kintyre, will not be required as the number of candidates matches the number of vacancies (3). For more information please visit www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/elections
