Argyll and Bute Council has announced today that it will be looking at ways to offer support to refugees fleeing the Syrian crisis.

Council Leader, Councillor Dick Walsh, said: “In Argyll and Bute we will be working closely with our Community Planning Partners to create a package of support for refugees.

“We have a great track record of working together and those successful partnerships will stand us in good stead at times like this.

“We are forward moving, we are forward looking and we will be taking action. Working together, we will be making more detailed plans in the weeks to come to see what we can do to help.”
