Children are being invited to go along and visit Bessie the Play, Talk and Read bus as she makes her way across various towns in Argyll and Bute next week.
Youngsters will have the opportunity to join in the fun with lots of free songs, stories and play sessions as part of the Scottish Government's Play, Talk and Read campaign.
Argyll and Bute Council's Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Rory Colville, said: "A key part of sustaining a thriving, diverse Argyll and Bute economy is making sure that our children and young people have the best possible start. Playing, talking and reading to young children can have a huge impact on how happy they are now and in the future. I would urge everyone with young children to go along to one of Bessie's visits."
