Rothesay Library is holding an author event to celebrate Book Week Scotland 2015.
Book Week Scotland, which takes place from 23rd to 29th November, is a national celebration of books and reading that brings hundreds of free events to a variety of venues across the country.
The theme for this year's event is transformation and throughout the week the nation will be celebrating the powerful and positive impact that books can have on people’s lives.
Rothesay Library will be welcoming Scottish crime writer Craig Robertson on Wednesday 25th November 2015 at 7pm. He will be giving a talk about his Glasgow based novels and his successful career. Tickets are free but booking is essential. Don’t miss this opportunity to go along and meet the former journalist and now bestselling author.
Argyll and Bute Council's Policy Lead for Community and Culture, Councillor Robin Currie said, "Scotland is a nation of readers and here in Argyll and Bute we are delighted to be taking part in this year's Book Week Scotland.
"The benefits of reading cannot be underestimated. Not only does it help broaden the mind and increase vocabulary, it also helps to relieve stress and create greater tranquillity. It is very encouraging to see our local libraries playing a part in this and I would encourage as many people as possible to go along and show their support for what will be a very worthwhile and interesting event."
