The Provost of Argyll and Bute, Councillor Len Scoullar, has expressed his sympathy for the people of Glasgow who are dealing with the aftermath of yesterday’s events in George Square.

Provost Scoullar said: “My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Monday’s tragic events, especially at this time of year.

“The people of Glasgow and the emergency services have shown tremendous spirit and courage in the midst of great sadness and my heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives or were injured.

“As a mark of respect, flags on council buildings across Argyll and Bute will be flown at half-mast.”
