The Argyll and Bute Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) announced in November that Addaction  Scotland, one of the country’s largest specialist drug and alcohol treatment charities, won the contracts to provide community based addiction recovery services for adults across Argyll and Bute for the next three years. This service commences on 1st January 2015.

If members of the public require to access the service for assistance during the holiday period from 1st - 4th January 2015 they can contact Addaction on 0800 206 1460 from 11.00am - 3.00pm.

Experienced Addaction staff will be available to take their calls, offer advice and arrange follow up support at a convenient time if it is required. Addaction will resume its full service from 5th January at 8.00am.

If an individual requires emergency support during this time and outwith 11.00am – 3.00pm then they can either contact NHS 24 on 111 or call the Social Work Standby Service for Argyll and Bute on 01631 566491.

To assist in this transitional period the ADP has also agreed to continue to contract with a number of current providers for a further month. This will take these contracts up until 31st January 2015.

These providers are as follows:

Oban – Oasis, 01631 571348

Cowal – Kaleidescope, 01369 704406

Islay – Encompass, 01496 301455

Helensburgh – HART, 01436 674653

Anyone currently supported by these providers should follow the normal holiday arrangements that were agreed with their current provider.
