Argyll and Bute Council is introducing a pilot scheme to help businesses who offer tourist accommodation in Inveraray. The scheme will mean car park season tickets are transferable between different vehicles. At the moment each ticket is allocated to a registration number. The pilot will last until October.

The new season tickets can be bought by businesses in Inveraray to allow their customers to park with no extra charges. A season ticket will cost £90 and will be valid for the charging season between April and October. It will now carry the business address rather than a car registration number.

Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure Services, Sandy MacTaggart said, “The council is starting this pilot scheme as a direct result of feedback from local businesses in Inveraray. We believe it will make things much easier for people visiting the town and look forward to seeing the results.”

Season tickets will be available from Wednesday 23 May 2012 and they can be bought from Argyll and Bute Council, Development and Infrastructure Services, Manse Brae, Lochgilphead or call 01546 604683.
