Library users in Argyll and Bute are being asked to help shape the future of the service through an in-library and on-line survey launched on Friday June 1.

Libraries and mobile library vans will have copies of survey forms for and are available from http://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/consultations/libraries-customer-satisfaction-survey. Survey questions are designed to provide information on the quality of library facilities and services and measuring patterns of library use.

Lead Councillor for Community, Culture, Customer and Communications, Louise Glen-Lee said: “I would encourage as many people as possible to complete the survey as it will shape the future of this service.”

“Your opinions as users, or non-users, are very important. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and can be filled in anonymously.”

“The library service is much wider than simply issuing books – it is an important part of our social and educative infrastructure. Making sure it provides a service fit for purpose will keep libraries in the hearts of our communities for years to come.”
