Shanks, which operates recycling and civic amenity sites across Argyll and Bute, has informed the council that a number of its workforce intend to strike on Friday, February 24 and Monday, February 27.
However, the company has signalled its intention to the council to keep all the sites it runs open as usual for householders.
There should therefore be minimal disruption to the general public, although there is a possibility that there may be some disruption to the council’s scheduled refuse and recycling collections on Friday and Monday.
Householders who usually have their refuse collected on one of these days and find that their bins are not emptied as normal should leave them out. The council intends to catch up on any routes affected by Shanks’ strike action the following day.
