Teams of swimmers from across the whole of Argyll and Bute will be in Helensburgh this weekend (10 and 11 September) for the third annual Argyll and Bute swimming championships.

This is an important fixture in the swimming calendar in Argyll and Bute and it is the first time that Helensburgh as hosted the event.

Although the pool will be closed to the public over the weekend we would like to encourage as many people as possible to come along and cheer on the young people taking part.

Spokesperson for third sector and communities Councillor Rory Colville said, “I am delighted to welcome teams and supporters from across Argyll and Bute to Helensburgh for the third Argyll and Bute Swimming Championships.  It is fantastic to see so many swimmers representing their communities and I know that they will do them proud.”
