There is now a single mobile phone number you can text the council on with any enquiries or requests for service. It is 07624 808 798 and your text will be dealt with by the customer service centre.
If they cannot help your information will be passed on to the relevant service in the council and you will then get a text back or a call back with an update. Make sure you keep the text to less than 160 characters or you will be charged for more than one message. All texts are charged at the sender’s standard rate.
The customer service centre is open between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday so any texts sent out of hours will be picked up as soon as possible.
Argyll and Bute Council leader, Councillor Dick Walsh said, “The new text service will make it easier to report about things like potholes or find out more about opening times in some of our buildings. You should add the number to your phone in case you are out and about and spot something we can help you with.
