Election count underway

Counting is now underway for elections to the Scottish Parliament for the Argyll and Bute constituency.

Ballot boxes from west coast islands were helicoptered to the count site early this morning.

The result is expected early in the afternoon (Friday 6 May)  and will be posted here.

Counting for the UK referendum will begin at 4pm.
