Scotland TranServ has announced that the A85 Perth to Oban road will be closed for one night next week at Orchy Bridge for essential maintenance.

The restrictions will start with a single lane closure and convoy working from 6pm on Tuesday March 22. The road closure will be in effect from 10pm that night until 6am on Wednesday March 23.

The work involves the repair of a section of the bridge deck which is rapidly deteriorating as a consequence of the severe winter weather.

Local access will be maintained and the emergency services will have unrestricted access.

In addition, Scotland TranServ has announced it will be carrying out completion works on the Ba Bridge on the A82 south of Glencoe between March 21 and April 8.

A single lane closure will be in place between 8am and 5.30pm daily. The restrictions will be removed outwith these times.

Both sets of work will be carried out by Scotland TranServ on behalf of Transport Scotland.
