Argyll and Bute Council is holding a workshop on Tuesday 28 June in the Burnett Building to look at developing the berthing facilities in Campbeltown Loch, and we would like you to be a part of it.

This is the second event of its kind and the key areas being explored include looking at alternative technical solutions, discussing the best organisation to manage a facility of this type and identifying potential sources of funding.  This study, which will be carried out by Hyder Consulting Ltd and DTZ  is due to be finished later this summer.  The feedback from this event will help them develop options for the berthing facility.

Chair of Campbeltown’s CHORD project board Councillor Rory Colville said, “We hope to improve and extend the current facilities for recreational sailors.  This workshop gives us the opportunity to gather as many opinions as possible which will help shape the new berthing area.”

If you are interested in attending the workshop, please contact Fiona McGregor on 01546 604255, or email fiona.mcgregor@argyll-bute.gov.uk.  You can also write to her at Development and Infrastructure, Argyll and Bute Council, 1A Manse Brae, Lochgilphead, PA31 8RD before Monday 29 June 2011.  If you are not able to attend, you can make comments or ask questions online at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk
