Road improvements from the council’s reconstruction programme in the Helensburgh and Lomond area look set to finish ahead of schedule. Work due to be completed by the end of October will now be finished by September, weather permitting.

The roads have all been resurfaced rather than just having any potholes fixed. Roads teams have been going the extra mile and working on any roads adjacent to those being improved which are in need of repair.

Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Committee, Councillor Vivien Dance said: “I would like to thank the roads team at Argyll and Bute Council for doing such a great job and finishing well ahead of schedule. I’m sure the new surfaces will make a big difference to drivers.”
