The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillors Devon, McGrigor, McNeilly, A Morton and Scoullar.

There were no declarations of interest intimated. 

The Minute of the Argyll Islands Strategic Group held on 18 August 2018, was approved as a true record.

Councillor MacKenzie joined the meeting by lync at 2.06pm. 

Councillor Robertson joined the meeting at 2.08pm.

Report by Executive Director of Customer Services

The group gave consideration to a report providing a draft response to the consultation being carried out by the Scottish Government in respect of the provisions within the Islands (Scotland) Bill. 

Decision:

The group:-

1.    agreed the consultation response relating to the provisions within the Islands (Scotland) Bill as attached as Appendix 1 to the report; and

2.    agreed that the detail contained within Appendix 1 form the basis of the evidence presented by the Council to the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee on 20^th September 2017.
