Report by Section 95 Officer

The Committee gave consideration to a report which provided an overview of the Council’s unaudited annual accounts and the annual accounts for the Charitable Trusts administered by the Council for the year ended 31 March 2026.  The report also included a summary of the significant movements from 2024-25.

Decision

The Audit and Scrutiny Committee:-

1.    considered the Council’s Unaudited Annual Accounts and the annual accounts for the Charitable Trusts for the year ended 31 March 2026; and

2.    noted that the Section 95 Officer, in discharging their responsibilities under the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014, will sign the Statement of Responsibilities and the Balance Sheet contained therein, and submit the Annual Accounts to the auditor by the statutory deadline of 30 June 2026.
