Minutes of the Short Life Working Group on Political Management Arrangements of 11 December 2013

The Minutes of the Short Life Working Group on Political Management Arrangements held on 11 December 2013 were approved as a correct record.

Report by Executive Director of Customer Services

The Group considered the report by the Executive Director of Customer Services together with Appendices 1 – 15 which detailed the Model of Council, membership of Committees, call in function for Council, model Standing Order, remit and powers of Area Committees, Policy Lead Roles and Role of the Monitoring Officer. A Programme of Meetings was also tabled for consideration.

Decision

The Short Life Working Group:-

1. Noted the contents of the report.

2. Agreed that the proposals developed by the SLWG as set out in Section 3.3 of the submitted report together with the programme of meetings, be submitted to Council on 23 January 2014 for consideration, with the exception of the proposed Standards Committee which would not be taken forward at this time.
