BUTE COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Minutes:

The Trustees considered an application from the Bute Community Council and discussion focussed on the request for the funds to be used to provide Christmas lights in Rothesay.

Mrs Marlene Hill, Chair of Bute Community Council, was invited to speak to the application. Mrs Hill advised the Trustees that Bute Community Council was committed to delivering the project, however as plans are fluid any grant awarded may not be spent this year but would be ring-fenced for future Christmas lights projects.

Decision

The Trustees agreed;

1.    to award Bute Community Council £1,500; and

2.    that in the event that Bute Community Council decide not to proceed with the purchase of Christmas lights at any point in future that any balance of unspent funds be refunded to the Rothesay Common Good Fund.
