Rothesay Common Good Fund – 6^th May 2014

The Minutes of the Rothesay Common Good Fund meeting held on 6^th May 2014 were approved as a correct record.

The Committee resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

Members considered an application from the Army Cadet Force.

Decision

Members agreed to disperse £400 to the Army Cadet Force on this occasion and write to advise that this would be the final payment that they could fund for this type of application.

Members considered an application from Light up Bute.

Decision

Members agreed in principle to award the sum of £1,000 to Light up Bute subject to receiving more information on the event as detailed below which meets the fund criteria:

1. Date and time of event
2. Venue of event
3. Total number of people that will be attending the event
4. More information on their accounts
5. Information on the Charitable Status of the organisation
6. Copy of the organisation Constitution
7. Details of other funding for the event

Members agreed that they would reconsider this application on Tuesday 7^th October.
