Rothesay Common Good 6 August 2013

Minutes:

The Minutes of the Meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund held on 6th August 2013 were approved as a correct record.

 

The Committee resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

INCOME REPORT

Report by Legal Services Manager

Minutes:

 

A report providing Members with information on the income received by the fund was considered.

 

Decision

 

Members noted the position and agreed that Notice should be served on the tenant of Eastlands Farm indicating the intention to enter into a written tenancy agreement to take effect on May 28th 2014, with a new rental amount of £1250.

WESTLANDS FARM, WESTLANDS ROAD, ROTHESAY

Report by Asset Manager

Minutes:

 

A report providing Members with information in relation to the lease over Westlands Farm, Westlands Road, Rothesay, was considered.

Members noted the content of the report.

APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

ARMY CADET FORCE

Minutes:

Members considered an application from the Army Cadet Force to help fund a battlefield tour to Belgium and France for 4 cadets from Rothesay, as part of the 100th anniversary of the start of the World War One.

 

Decision

 

Members agreed to part fund the application in principle, provided the required rules are met, but asked that the Army Cadet Force provide details of other funding which has been applied for.

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION SCOTLAND ISLE OF BUTE BRANCH

Minutes:

Members considered an application from the Royal British Legion Scotland Isle of Bute Branch to help fix the leak in the drop in centre roof, to redecorate and to put in a new front door.

 

Decision

 

Members agreed the application in principle subject to clarification on the actual costs and other funding being applied for being provided, and noted that  the Common Good Fund do not normally fund materials.

BUTE ADVICE CENTRE

Minutes:

Members considered an application from Bute Advice Centre for two desktop PCs with monitors and an HP slate tablet.

 

Decision

 

Members agreed to disperse £898 to Bute Advice Centre.
